We have been leaning toward Hillary but our big concern is her continued support of the War. We were very dismayed when most of the Democratic candidates recently refused to commit to return of the troops from Iraq by 2013. If John Edwards will commit to return of our troops by 2010 or earlier he will get our vote as well as those of millions more. One reason that Congressional Democrats are getting low marks is because they were voted intoi office expecting a strong stand against years of lies, secrecy, and disregard of the Constitution and ur national laws. Those expectations have not been realized.

His business failed and they went after him, he made a plea agreement not to sue somebody so he got his wife to do it instead. What a man.

In this context, it is Joe Trippi who is the dynamic individual inspiring and facilitating paradigmatic change, not Howard Dean.

One of the problem of campaign decentralization is that those things might happen. Another problem is that a “competitor” might decide to spam on behalf of Dean and then raise a fuss about the spam incident.

I believe that a clear and easy to find statement on the site about the campaign’s attitude re:spam (maybe a button the size of the “grassroot never sleeps” or “get local” one linking to a page decrying spam) would be very helpful in inoculating against this.

Three things that would be needed as part of such effort:
1. A clear statement about the campaign’s position re:spam
2. A form where people could send in copies of the spam message (with full headers) to the campaign for analysis.
3. A list of spam messages and information about what action the campaign took to stop that one.

Such an approach would show that the campaign not only opposes spam but is doing something to try to avoid spam episodes from over-eager supporters.
