Predictably you distort the intent of the framers of the constitution as to copyright, because they simply provided that congress has the power to enact protection for a limited time. Nothing indictes that they had any special liking for the regime that by historical accident might have then been in effect. To the contrary, they clearly envisioned and expected change.

Kelly says it is because it involves a form of collective action. What label we choose is important because (as you point out) every large-scale socialist experiment carried out in the 20th Century was a disaster of epic proportions.

I'm late to the discussion, but I'll simply chime in that in my experience very few people who consider themselves socialists are in favor of coercion! To that extent, I can understand why some might consider your distinction an improper attempt to redefine terms.
