May I add "IP Justice" (www.ipjustice.org) to the list of worthy organizations? It's internationally focused and tries to change policy before it's too late. Good stuff, check them out. I've made my EFF contribution as well.

I donated to EFF a little while back. I also asked about volunteer opportunities that don't require living CA (even though I write license contracts for Oracle, I work in the Boston area), but haven't heard back. Anyone from MA know of similar organizations here?

PS - you get awesome stuff when you donate to the EFF!

I don't really buy any music, but I do buy some movies and books. However, when I'm done I often give them away or share them.

From the perspective of copyright law, you (Professor Lessig)
are also a monopolist for you own copyright in your writings.
Perhaps, you are talking about supporting friendly, generous
monopolists as opposed to unfriendly, selfish monopolists.

I gave $8 to monopolists this year in purchasing a film dating back to when MPAA 'product' was still tolerable.

I gave many times more (i cant figure out how much) to ipac among others. I believe i remember donating to a specific legal defense fund.. it really doesnt matter if i can remember it all or not, because it's done.

When i get my credit paid back down in the future ill be donating more. Not to worry.
