By: Anonymous https://archives.lessig.org/?p=2100#comment-593 Tue, 07 Jan 2003 09:09:36 +0000 http://lessig.org/blog/2003/01/the_pan_faqs.html#comment-593 One question has still not been answered: why does the complaint (#60) state a life-plus-fifty basis for the expiration of copyright in early Peter Pan works in the U.S. (where the suit is being brought), when the copyright in the U.S. of these early works is governed by 17 U.S.C. #8, and/or by the 28+28 term of the 1909 act, and (possibly in the case of some works over which the parties are in dispute) by the Ninth Circuit’s ridiculous “Bambi” decision regarding foreign works ?
